Jasmine B. MSW, LCSW

Life is like a live manuscript, and we're all authors shaping the plot, characters, and settings as we go. With all the choices and decisions coming our way, it's easy to feel overwhelmed, stressed, confused, and lost, which can make it tough to stay present. My role as a therapist is to collaborate with you on this life journey by offering support, understanding, and an eager presence through life’s unpredictable narrative. Together, we will navigate the complexities of emotion and thoughts, working towards a place where you can be more present for yourself and those around you.

I believe in creating a safe space where you not only feel heard and supported but also feel comfortable being challenged to become the best version of yourself. I incorporate cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) intervention techniques to help us explore and reshape those thought patterns that might be holding you back. Plus, I'm a big fan of the strength-based approach, because let's be real, you've got a ton of inner strength just waiting to be tapped into. I believe with a blend of compassion, strength-building, collaboration, and a bit of humor along the way, we can help build the person you always wanted to be.

If you would like to walk along this journey together, I want to say in advance, “Thank you for the opportunity to join in on your story.” I don’t take that opportunity lightly.

My Experience

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate. I obtained my Bachelor’s degrees in Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies and Applied Behavioral Science with a concentration in Community Health and development. Then I achieved my Master’s degree in Social Work with a concentration in Clinical Studies. Both my undergraduate and graduate degree were obtained from the University of Kansas (Rock Chalk, Jayhawks!) I have a diverse experience in several settings including individual counseling, victim advocacy, and crisis intervention work.

When I’m not in therapist mode, I’m...

outside in the sun, listening to a true crime podcast, reading a book on my kindle, traveling, spending time with loved ones, and baking.
