Therapy for Women: Anxiety, Self-Love, Boundaries, & Healthy Relationships
Do you feel disconnected from yourself or the relationships you value most? Does the passion and energy for life you used to have feel like it’s fading under the weight of anxiety, overthinking, and daily stress? When your mind is constantly spinning with questions like "Did I make the right choice?" or "Why can't I just stop worrying?", it becomes difficult to show up for yourself, let alone anyone else.
I’m Kayla, a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate passionate about helping women navigate anxiety, depression, self-doubt, and relationship challenges. I specialize in working with women who are ready to rediscover who they are, find their voice, and teach others how to treat them. In our work together, we will address the root causes of negative thinking, learn how to regulate your nervous system, and build practical tools so you can set healthy boundaries without guilt.
Having grown up in a military household, I had the privilege of experiencing diverse cultures and meeting people from all walks of life. This background shaped my perspective and deepened my capacity to offer truly culturally adaptive, open-minded, and non-judgmental care. I pride myself on meeting you right where you are with warmth, positivity, and genuine encouragement. I also love using the Enneagram Assessment in therapy to help you gain deep insight into your emotional patterns, core motivations, and how you show up in relationships.
Therapy with me is a collaborative space to make sense of your internal world and reclaim your narrative. Together, we will find clarity on your next steps so you can step into healthy self-love, feel radiant in your own skin, and live a life that genuinely fulfills you.
My Experience
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Psychology in 2017 and my Master of Science in Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling in 2019 from Georgia State University. I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA) in North Carolina and a National Certified Counselor (NCC). My clinical experience centers on supporting women through mood disorders, anxiety, life transitions, identity growth, and relational stress.
Modalities & Specialized Approach:
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): Identifying negative thought loops, reframing worst-case scenarios, and gaining control over your emotional responses.
Enneagram Personality Exploration: Gaining deep self-awareness into your core motivations, stress responses, and relational habits.
Assertiveness & Boundary Training: Learning to communicate your needs clearly, prioritize self-care, and build balanced relationships.
Mindfulness & Stress Management: Developing practical, grounding techniques to soothe daily anxiety and restore emotional balance.
When I’m not in therapist mode, I’m…
Spending time with loved ones, traveling the world, exploring the city of Raleigh, or laughing with friends. I thrive on good energy. I don't know a stranger, and I love engaging in great conversations and meeting new people wherever I go!
