Mishaun introduces herself and welcomes you!

Are you overwhelmed by everything you’re managing...work, family, caregiving, relationships, or simply trying to stay afloat? Do you feel pulled in several directions at once, with people relying on you but rarely checking in on how you are doing? If so, you’re not alone. I’m a licensed therapist in Charlotte, NC, and I’m here to help you slow down, regain balance, and prioritize your mental health in a space where you don’t have to be “the strong one.”

I specialize in working with teens through adults, including women, young adults, caregivers, school‑system professionals, and individuals navigating adoption‑related concerns. Many of my clients are managing anxiety, overwhelm, relationship or family stress, trauma, ADHD‑type symptoms, or major life adjustments. In our sessions, you’ll find a warm, steady, and validating space where you can express yourself openly, feel supported, and build practical skills to help you manage what you’re carrying.

My therapeutic approach is grounded in person‑centered work, CBT, and experiential techniques. You set the pace, and together we’ll explore what matters most to you, strengthen your coping skills, and create tools that support your growth. My goal is to help you feel heard, understood, and empowered as you reconnect with yourself and move toward a life that feels more manageable and aligned with your needs.

My Experience

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate with more than twenty years of experience supporting individuals and groups, particularly within school settings and adoption‑related contexts. I bring a compassionate, practical, and culturally attuned approach to therapy, helping clients navigate anxiety, stress, trauma, burnout, and life transitions with confidence and clarity.

Whether you’re seeking support for anxiety, overwhelm, caregiver fatigue, or personal growth, I strive to create a welcoming environment where you feel seen, supported, and understood by a therapist who genuinely cares about your goals and experiences.
