Life has a way of giving us constant messages about who we are supposed to be, from our families, our culture, our relationships, and society at large. Over time, trying to meet those external expectations can lead to self-doubt, relationship burnout, and feeling disconnected from what you actually want. Some of those inherited messages fit who you are, but many do not. Therapy is a space to slow down, face yourself honestly, and figure out the difference.
My approach is direct, sincere, authentic, and kind. I believe therapy should be a place where you can step out from behind the curtain, be honest about who you are, and explore your internal needs without judgment. You won't find a rigid or passive environment here; I bring a balance of warmth, lightheartedness, and direct encouragement. In our time together, I will both support you and challenge you to step into your vulnerability, build healthy boundaries, and learn to communicate assertively with the people in your life.
I enjoy working with both individuals and couples as they navigate relationships, identity, communication, life transitions, and personal growth. I welcome clients from diverse backgrounds and am particularly passionate about working with members of minority communities, men navigating societal and emotional demands, and couples exploring both traditional and non-traditional (ENM) relationship structures.
Therapy does not have to be about changing who you are. Sometimes it is simply about becoming more comfortable in your own skin, understanding the experiences that have shaped you, and permitting yourself to decide what comes next. Take what you need, leave what you don’t. Let’s work together on figuring out which is which.
My Experience
I hold a Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a Bachelor of Arts in Social Psychology. I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA) and a National Certified Counselor (NCC). I am also actively working toward advanced certifications through AASECT (Sex Therapy/Education) and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): Identifying unhelpful thought patterns and developing practical tools to modify behaviors and regulate emotions.
Narrative Therapy: Examining the stories and beliefs you have inherited from culture or family, deconstructing old scripts, and rewriting your narrative.
Existential Therapy: Exploring personal meaning, freedom, responsibility, and staying authentic to your core values.
Integrative Relational & Couples Work: Supporting couples and partners through communication breakdowns, boundary setting, and exploring diverse relationship structures (ENM, open relationships).
When I’m not in therapist mode, I’m...
I’m probably cooking, spending time with my family and friends, traveling, or attending a community event. I love good food, good people, and finding new experiences to enjoy.
