Strong is fighting. It’s hard, and it’s painful, and it’s every day. It’s what we have to do. And we can do it together.

Therapy for Millennials, Gen Z, Geeks & Nerds, Anxiety, & Self-Esteem

If you've ever felt awkward, anxious, overwhelmed, or just a little out of place, you're not alone. Whether you proudly embrace your nerdy side, struggle to connect with others, or often feel like no one quite understands what you're going through, I want you to know there's space for you here. Starting therapy can feel intimidating, especially if it's your first time, but you don't have to navigate it on your own. Together, we'll explore what's getting in the way, build on your strengths, and find practical strategies that support the life you want to create.

I work primarily with Millennials and Gen Z adults who are navigating anxiety, depression, burnout, self-esteem challenges, life transitions, and the everyday stress of trying to keep up with it all. My goal is to create a welcoming, affirming, and genuine space where you can show up as yourself. I enjoy working with fellow nerds and geeks, as well as individuals from marginalized, BIPOC, and LGBTQ+ communities. Wherever you're starting from, I'll meet you there and support you at a pace that feels right for you.

I believe therapy works best as a partnership. You are the expert on your own experiences, and my role is to help you better understand yourself, navigate challenges, and move toward your goals. We will tailor our work together to fit your unique needs, story, and personality. If you're ready to get started, I'd love to connect. You deserve the time, care, and support it takes to invest in yourself.

My Experience
I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA) with a Bachelor's in Sociology from UNC Charlotte and a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lenoir-Rhyne University. My career has led me through diverse settings, including Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) clinics and private practices, where I've supported individuals facing a wide array of mental health challenges.

Modalities & Specialized Approach:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): Identifying unhelpful thought loops and building practical strategies for managing anxiety and depression.

  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Skills: Developing emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and healthy boundary-setting.

  • Solution-Focused Brief Therapy: Tapping into your existing strengths to create actionable goals and positive momentum.

  • Motivational Interviewing: Helping you navigate ambivalence, build internal motivation, and navigate major life transitions.

When I’m not in therapist mode, I’m…
Playing video games, binge-watching my favorite shows, enjoying a good movie, or drawing. I LOVE connecting with clients who share a passion for all things creative and nerdy!
