Naja describes who she works best with and how she helps.
Naja A., MEd, LCMHCA
Let me ask you this—do you ever feel alone, even in a room full of people? Are you searching for validation or exhausted by a life that won’t seem to give you a break? Life can feel heavy and overwhelming, but you don’t have to carry it all by yourself. First, know that your feelings are valid, and you’re not alone. By being here, you’re already taking an amazing first step toward self-discovery! I’m here to walk alongside you as you learn more about yourself, build your confidence, and take back control of your life.
I work with adolescents, teens, and young adults navigating anxiety, depression, self-esteem struggles, family challenges, or difficulties connecting with others. In our sessions, you’ll find a safe, warm, and supportive space where you can feel truly seen and heard. I use a mix of person-centered therapy, CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), and grounding techniques to help you feel empowered, supported, and ready to grow.
My goal is to create a space where you can show up exactly as you are—no judgment, no pressure—just a place to be unapologetically yourself as we work together toward healing, confidence, and growth.
My Experience
I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate with a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Norfolk State University and a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University. My passion is supporting adolescents, teens, and young adults as they navigate life’s challenges—whether that’s growing up in a difficult family dynamic, struggling with anxiety or depression, building self-esteem, or finding meaningful connections with peers.
When I’m not in therapist mode, I’m…
During my free time, I love watching documentaries, trying new restaurants, taking walks outside, listening to music, and spending time with my friends and family.
