Naja describes who she works best with and how she helps.

Naja A., MA, LCMHCA

Let me ask you this: Do you ever feel alone, even when surrounded by people? Are you seeking external validation? Who taught you that your voice wasn't enough? Life is often complicated and can be overwhelming, but you don’t have to navigate it alone. By being here, you’re already making an important move toward self-discovery! I’m here to support you as you uncover more about yourself, boost your confidence, and reclaim control of your life.

I work with kids through adults, helping them as they navigate anxiety, depression, self-esteem struggles, family challenges, or difficulty connecting with others. In our sessions, you’ll find a safe, warm, and supportive space where you can feel truly seen and heard, as you learn to validate and lean into the power of your own voice.

I use a mix of person-centered therapy, CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), and grounding techniques to help you feel empowered, supported, and ready to grow.

My goal is to create a space where you can show up exactly as you are—no judgment, no pressure—just a place to be unapologetically yourself as we work together toward healing, confidence, and growth.

My Experience

I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate with a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Norfolk State University and a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University. My passion is supporting adolescents, teens, and young adults as they navigate life’s challenges—whether that’s growing up in a difficult family dynamic, struggling with anxiety or depression, building self-esteem, or finding meaningful connections with peers.

When I’m not in therapist mode, I’m…

During my free time, I love watching documentaries, trying new restaurants, taking walks outside, listening to music, and spending time with my friends and family.
